Resolutions

These past days have all been about the highlights of 2023: the greatest events, the most influential people and the best fashion of the year. Reading about the past year’s accounts, it was a particular and rather delightful moment for us at Mythologia, when we were informed that “authentic” was the Word of the Year according to the Merriam - Webster dictionary. Could “Greek” and “sandals” also become terms to think, write or aspire to sometime in the future? Of course, different dictionaries issue different “words of the year”. e.g the Cambridge Dictionary chose “hallucinate”, which inspired quite a few jokes among the team. Regardless of what the fashion crowd or respectable scientists, our words of the year will remain “authentic Greek sandals” and these will be our New Year’s Resolutions too.

Authentic

The 2023 word of the year is our fundamental value. That said, we understand why it signifies a necessity, an urgency, and a universal request. When everything exists merely to be photographed and uploaded, becoming instantly obsolete, at Mythologia we like to take our time and design thoughtfully, create sustainably in Greece -our country of origin- and share the end products enthusiastically. We’ll keep doing that in 2024.

Greek

What does being Greek mean to us? Greece is where the Mythologia concept came to life, inspired by the myths of Gods and heroes fighting for love and honor. Each part of Greece has a different story to tell, a unique beauty that inspires a new collection of sandals, that will be meticulously crafted by hand in Greece and will reach other countries at the far side of the world. We intend to continue to explore our roots and our country’s of origin contemporary capabilities.

Sandals

The shoe that is always updated and ever relevant remains the focal point of our creative efforts. This year’s theme and concept will be introduced shortly to all our loyal friends and customers. The new, fabulous designs and the quality materials will in turn inspire many leisure walks down sundrenched alleys, serene beaches, or urban sidewalks, all over the world.
